China: Revolutionary Floating Solar Power Plant is in process.

According to reports a new solar power plant is starting in China. But it wont be a normal plant , it’s a floating plant. Sources indicate the plant will start working in the Three gorges area.
China is leading the way in every field of life. The chinese economy is taking new steps every day. The latest steps include the production of cheaper means of electricity.

According to a survey;

Four out of five solar modules installed around the world today are Chinese-made.

For those who are not familiar with three gorges area we’re here to help.
Many years ago coal mine in eastern China collapsed, leaving an enormous hole in the ground that later on filled with water. Known as the Three Gorges area.
FYI a solar power plant is a plant that converts sunlight’s energy into electricity. It’s cheaper and easier source of energy as compare to others.

China has began the project of ;
World’s first 150 megawatt floating solar plant.

The first phase is already supplying electricity to the city.
One of the main purpose of this project is cutting down the cost of solar energy. China boasts a quarter of global solar capacity.

According to the corporation which is building this, the project is worth 1 billion yuan ($151 million) .
The plant has 166000 solar panels.
This much energy can power more than 60000 homes.

This plant is going to be built in the nation’s eastern province of Anhui. The complete plant will start working in May 2018.

China is leading the way in terms of finding easy and cheaper solutions.

Grid congestion and solar power:

In the past few years the Chinese plower plants have faced the problem of grid congestion. Due to this, more than half of the energy produced by other plants has’nt been utilised.

The plant features panels fixed to floats on the surface of a lake ,that formed after a coal mine collapsed.

According to the Three Gorges corporation;

The solar panels for this latest project will be attached to floats, a process that is faster, simpler, and cheaper.
The project will also help in commercial fishing in that area which will help in the betterment of the fishing industry.

FYI Three Gorges Corporation is a lethal part of Chinese government and infrastructure.
The project will bring more betterment to Chinese economy.
